Do you ever dream of going on
a date with British bad boys Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike stripper) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors, Henry VIII)? You imagine them talking intently about the economy (with sexy [ok funny] accents) over a glass of red wine. By candlelight they lean in close to your ear telling you that not only are you naturally smart, sexy and sophisticated, but that your knowledge of the fiscal cliff makes you drop-dead-gorgeous.
You do?? Well me too!….(possibly why I’m single).
In fact, in my head this dream re-occurs on Fridays via The Economist podcast “ The Week Ahead.” Every Friday, my version of the Stripper and the King get together and in ten minutes or less, explain a few of the top stories in the upcoming week. Spoiler alert: In real life these two gents are Daniel Franklin the Executive Editor and Tom Standage the Digital Editor of The Economist.
This week we can look forward to the Czech Republic’s first direct popular vote on a Presidential election; Cuba lifts travel restrictions; Hollywood kicks off the awards season with the Golden Globes (Sunday) and London celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the London Underground.
So check it out and get the best of both worlds; hot-guy fantasy and interesting tidbits about the world!

Better yet, check it out through an epic app Sitcher (http://stitcher.com/> search The Economist > “The Week Ahead”).
I’m always looking for new podcasts to listen to! I’ll check this one out, because eloquent British men are a favorite of mine too
